Circumstances

Defendant was celebrating 20th birthday. Waiting in line out the front of a nightclub with girlfriend and two friends. An argument ensues between one of the friends and two other men. The two men disappear briefly and return with a group of 30 men. The group attacks the Defendant’s girlfriend and his two other friends. Defendant forced to protect himself, his girlfriend and two friends. CCTV footage confirms that he was acting self-defence.
