Our client was charged with Centrelink fraud for an amount totalling $38,137.34.
We managed to keep this matter in the Magistrates’ Court and our client was sentenced to seven months’ imprisonment, but released forthwith on a recognisance in the sum of $500 to be of good behaviour for two years. The court agreed that the offending was on the basis of need not greed. An excellent result for our client.
