The facts of the case: Victim attended a 21st at the Jetty Hotel. After venue had closed, the victim was found banging on the glass door at the entrance in an attempt to get back inside to retrieve his wife’s handbag. The victim was drunk and aggressive. The Defendant was a security guard who had been called to attend. After a short conversation, the Defendant struck the victim to the side of the body with a fist.
